Privacy Policy

Moonlit Cottage (the "App") is provided by Hoshilua Studio ("we"). The App never asks for your email, phone number or real name. It uses an anonymous account created automatically when you play, and handles the following.
1. What we collect and why

We use no advertising, analytics or tracking tools. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
2. What other players can see
Your player name, the snapshot of your room and outfit, and your ranking scores are shown to friends and to players viewing rankings. Players you block cannot see them.
3. Outside services
- In-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive your card or payment details; we receive the store's transaction information to verify the purchase.
- Servers: data is stored on services of Cloudflare, Inc. (Workers, D1, R2), which may be located outside Japan.
4. What stays on your device
Garden reminders (local notifications) are scheduled by your device and never pass through our servers. Photos are saved to your device's photo library and are not sent to us. The cottage, dress-up and minigames work offline.
5. How long we keep data
- Save backups: the latest 3
- Rankings: daily boards 8 days, weekly boards 5 weeks
- Transfer codes: deleted 1 day after expiry (7 days after use)
- Security records: 90 days
- Moon Gem and purchase records: for the period required by law (after account deletion, kept without any link to you)
6. Deleting your account
Delete it any time in Settings → Account & data → Delete account. Sign-in stops at once; after 30 days your save backups, images, profile, snapshot, friends, stickers and ranking scores are removed from our servers. Within those 30 days you can contact us to cancel. Only Moon Gem and purchase records remain, as required by law, without any link to you. Data on your device is removed when you delete the App.
7. Children
If you are under 13, please read this with a parent or guardian before playing. Minors need a guardian's consent to buy, and monthly limits apply by age range.
